The Environmental Science Department, established in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar since 1985, stands as a pioneer in its field. Our department boasts a highly qualified faculty, all holding M.Sc., Ph.D., and NET-SET qualifications in Environmental Science, coupled with extensive field experience and expertise in various domains including Industrial Safety Measures and Health, Environmental Statistics and Modelling, Waste Management Practices and Wealth, Carbon Footprints and Sequestration, Environmental Compliances and EC Processes, Risk Assessment and Disaster Management and Advanced Technology and CDM, Biodiversity Mapping and Protection Measures, Industrial pollution control and RS and GIS Application in Environmental Sustainability etc.
We take pride in offering comprehensive academic programs, including M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science on a Full Grant basis, a unique support system for postgraduate education in the state. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and access to the latest laboratories, we facilitate cutting-edge research across multiple dimensions, focusing on industrial needs and societal challenges.
Our curriculum is meticulously designed to align with industrial requirements and professional consultancy services, emphasizing the development of administrative, management, and academic skills. Practical exposure is paramount, with field trips, excursions, industrial visits, in-plant training forming, and On-job training (OJT)/field projects as integral parts of our programs.
Our department covers a wide spectrum, including analysis of drinking water, wastewater, industrial effluents, ambient air quality monitoring, and ecological studies, among others. We also specialize in ETP/STP/WTP project consultancy and environmental laboratory services, with a commitment to excellence and innovation.
