History
The Department of dance was established in the year 2010-2011. This is the undergraduate course after H.S.C. The students will the get the degree of B.A. (Dance). The students will study the subjects of dance only, usually these subjects are taught at the professional dance classes. Basically this subject is very flexible and of course very practical.This course does not mean to create an expert dancer but to create a learner of dance who will appreciate the traditional dances of the India. This course will attract new generation towards our Great Indian Traditional and classical dance.
To have a good platform to Indian dance on global scenario and also to create an educated dance artist, dance lovers and a good dance teacher is the main focus area of this dance course.More stress on practical work, Demonstration and presentation, personal guidance and a bridge between Indian Tradition with new techniques of performances, best training by the experts is some of the features of this course.The students will be assessed with the theory and presentation of dance in which the performance will be justified be the experts. Students have to appear for the regular exams, class tests, projects and dissertation which will enhance their quality.
