The Department had made significant contribution in research and has published a good number of original research papers in various National and International Journals on the (diverse aspects) of Library & Information Science Dr. Vaishali Khaparde and Dr. Shashank Sonwane has participated in National and International  Seminar and conferences and Dr. Vaishali Khaparde visited to Malaysia (Kualumpur) for paper presentation on 9th & 10th November, 2010. and also visited Singapore University Library & Thailand (Bangkok) University Library in November, 2010 (Annexure-I) Dr. Vaishali Khaparde got research grants of Rs.700000/- For her Major research project on Productivity pattern of Scientist in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University : A Scientometric Study from ICSSR New Delhi.  She has completed her Major research project in 2015 . She has also got Research grants of Rs 900000/- in May 2016for her Major research project on “ Self Archiving Behaviour of LIS professionals in Maharashtra” from ICSSR ,New Delhi .UGC has Sanctioned Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship to 09  M.Phil. & 3 Ph.D. Student of the Department. A good number of Student have qualified NET/SET) .

• Dr. Vaishali Khaparde is Resource person for various Refresher courses, Orientation courses seminars etc.
• Dr. Vaishali Khaparde has been awarded as the Best Teacher Award by the BAMU Teachers Association in 2010.

• Dr. Vaishali Khaparde is the Examiner and Paper setter for SET Examination in Library & Information science.
• Dr. Vaishali Khaparde visited Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) for Paper Presentation at International Conference in Library & Information Society. Visited Singapore as well as Bangkok University Libraries .She has also visited Srilanka (Colombo) for paper presentation.
• Dr. Vaishali Khaparde has been internationally recognized as Scientist in International AD Scientific Index 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 as well as honored by the Research Professor Award for the year 2016-17 by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar.

• Dr. Vaishali Khapardewas the Course Coordinator of Five Refresher Courses in Library and Information Science as well as coordinator of Three Trainingprogrammes in Library Automation.
• Coordinator of the ICSSR, New Delhi sponsored Research Methodology course for Ph.D. students. She is the Ph D Guide and 6 students are working and 25students hasbeen awardedPh.D. degree.
• Dr. Vaishali Khapardehas guided more than 80 students at MLISC and 54 students at M.Phil. Level
• Dr. Vaishali Khaparde is the Referee and also Editorial Board member of various Peer Reviewed National and International Journals published from UK and USA.
