History
The Department of Music was established in 2009 with two faculty members. The eminent personality in music Pt. Nath Neralkar(Coordinator) and Dr.Sanjay Mohad(Co-coordinator) gave pioneering leadership to the department under the guidance of the then Vice Chancellor Dr.Nagnath Kotapalle. Dr. Jayant Shevatekar and Dr.Shashikant Barhanpurkar gave further leadership to the department.
Now, under the visionary guidance of Honourable Vice Chancellor Professor B.A.Chopade, Dr. sanjay Mohad(Coordinator, Dept. Of Music) is leading the department to achieve the noble place in the world Music.
At present there are seven faculty members and two non-teaching staff in the department on non grant basis. As per the UGC guidelines Department has started the CBGS system in the curriculum. All the faculty members are doing work at their best to produce the resultant.
