About Department

Introduction

The University department of Dramatics & Folk Arts at the Dharashiv Sub-Campus offers a vibrant and enriching environment for students passionate about theatre, folk arts, and cultural expression. We provide comprehensive training and education in various aspects of dramatic arts, including acting, directing, stagecraft, and folk traditions. Our aim is to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the performing arts, while also preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of our region. We strive to nurture well-rounded individuals who can contribute meaningfully to the world of theatre and beyond.

According to the orders of Maharashtra Government dated 5th August,2004 ,the sub center of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad has been established at Osmanabad.The inauguration of the subcenter was held by the hands of former Deputy Chief Minister respected Shri.Vijaysingh Mohite Patil.The chief Guest of this function was Ex-Vice-Chancellor respected Shri.K.P.Sonawane .The president of the program was respected Dr.Padamsingh Patil. This function was held on 16th August ,2004 at Government Ayurvedic College Osmanabad.
