About Department

Introduction

On the recommendations of faculty of Management science the Academic Council of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, at its meeting held on 6/5/2005 accepted the Syllabus of 'MASTER OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE [WATER AND LAND]' and made effective from academic year 2005-2006. The department is placed at OSMANABAD, Maharashtra. The department established in June 2005.

  • The response is increasing every year.
  • Two students resumed the duties in NGO, Private Company one each.
  • Campus interviews are arranged for recruitment.
  • World water day is celebrated every year.
Vision and Mission
  • To develop the department into a centre of Excellence of international repute with infrastructure and facilities of international standards.
  • To offer high quality post-graduate, doctoral and post doctoral degree through developing the teaching and research progammes in the subject and frontier areas of Water and Land Management with a view to supply highly qualified and trained technical personal.
  • To cater the needs of industries, educational institutes and research organization, farming community, NGO’S, KVKS, Bank, Trusts having big land holding & Govt. departments.
  • To offer quality consultancy and services to industries, educational and research organization in particular and society in general.

Eligibility

Any graduate is eligible for admission to MMS (WLM). A graduate from Arts, commerce, science, engineering, agriculture, horticultu.re and other faculty is eligible for admission.

Intake : Forty per year

Reservations: As per the Government rules and regulations.

Fees

For General Category: Rs. 5000/- per year*. For Reserved Category : Rs. 2000/- per year*

Academic Activity
  • Teaching, Analysis & guidelines to Public Departments for their water management
  • Mostly the students are taken to fields. Field training of 8 weeks is compulsory outside the University.

We have good infrastructural support for imparting quality education to our student-customers. The following infrastructural facilities are available:

    • This staff room serves as a common room for all CHB faculty, who assemble here for meetings, common discussions, etc.
  • Seminar Hall: 1 (Common)
    • This centralized Seminar Hall is for common use by all departments. Cultural activities and major Sub-Campus events are organized here.
  • Reading Room: 1 (Common library)

    • Department Library: 100 books (donated by the department's alumni)

    • These are available for staff to retrieve necessary departmental information and submit it to the university.
