According to the orders of Maharashtra Government dated 5th August,2004 ,the sub center of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad has been established at Osmanabad.The inauguration of the subcenter was held by the hands of former Deputy Chief Minister respected Shri.Vijaysingh Mohite Patil.The chief Guest of this function was Ex-Vice-Chancellor respected Shri.K.P.Sonawane .The president of the program was respected Dr.Padamsingh Patil. This function was held on 16th August ,2004 at Government Ayurvedic College Osmanabad.

The subcenter has been temporarily started at Government Ayurvedic College Osmanabad, according to the Government orders. According to the decision taken by the Government the following departments of post graduation has been started.

Student development department at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Sub-campus Dharashiv is involved in the overall development of students who are mainly coming from rural area of Dharashiv district. The main objective is making student competent to face the challenges of incoming century. The department organize different extracurricular activities, lectures, which promotes communication skills, competence, and social development of the students. Student development department coordinates with student, administration and provides support and assistance to students.
