For students enrolled into various programmes, the university offers on campus residential accommodation to the students. Ours is one of the greenest Campuses' in the country with all the facilities that are expected from global Universities. The stay at our campus provides a wealth of experience by developing quality such as social responsibility. Our students compromise a cosmopolitan mix from all parts of India as well as many countries across the globe.

As far as possible, the university caters to the housing needs of most of those students coming from the rural areas. Admission into the hostels is strictly as per the available accommodation and no guarantee of admission is given to every student. University/college administration will not be able to guarantee accommodation to the students. Right of admission is reserved with the University. All those seeking hostel accommodation are advised to go through the “Rules and Regulations” and shall comply with the do’s and don’ts mentioned in it.

The Wardens are appointed from the teaching faculty, who in turn are supported by hostel personnel headed by the respective Care Takers.

Rules & Regulations - Hostel Admission

  • Function, celebrations, meeting or formation of any kind of organization is not permitted without the prior permission of the Warden’s office.
  • Students shall have to observe complete discipline inside the Hostel and on the University Campus.
  • Hostel students are particularly required to maintain regularity in their academiUniversity Hostelc life. Their failure at the examinations or irregularity in work may result in the cancellation of their hostel admission.
  • All letters addressed to inmates of hostel will be delivered to the office and the office will make necessary arrangements of distribution of the letters. Each person should collect his / her own letter from the hostel office priority in person.
  • A resident who wish to remain absent from the Hostel must take written permission of the Warden.
  • No student shall undertake repair work of any damage caused to the fittings or fixtures of furniture or carry out any alteration therein. He should report the damage caused to the hostel authorities immediately.
  • Students shall be held responsible for the damage to the furniture, windows, doors, walls, electric fittings etc. and the cost of the damage and penalty as decided by hostel authority shall be recovered from them.
  • Wastage or improper use of Water, Electricity etc. is not allowed. Misuse of electricity is stricltly prohibited and the defaulter will be penalized.
  • Students are required to switch off the lights, fans etc. in their rooms every time they go out and before they go to the bed.
  • Loss of utensils, if any will be recovered from the students on pro-rata basis at the end of every term.
  • Students shall have to bring their own mattress, bedsheets, blankets, mosquito-net, University Hostelbucket, jar tumblers etc.
  • Student is not permitted to keep guests in the room without the permission of the Warden.
  • Rooms, corridors and premises must be kept scrupulously clean and tidy. Dustbins provided must be used and waste should not be thrown out of the windows or in the corridors.
  • Students must not enter other’s rooms without official permission of the Warden.
  • Students must remain present in their rooms between 10.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. and lady students should follow the rules and the time schedule laid down by the authorities of the womens’ hostel (08.00 pm to 06.00 am).
  • Every hostel student must carry his/her identity card bearing the hostel number and room number in which he/she is staying.
  • Every case of illness must be reported to the University Medical Officer immediately.
  • Hostel inmates must vacate his/her room within five days after his/her examination is over. Under no circumstances he/she will be allowed to extend his/her stay in the hostel beyond five days.
  • Students willing to discontinue the residence in the hostel for the second term must inform the hostel administration in writing before the end of the first term. Otherwise they will have to pay full rent and mess charges for the vacation period before the second term and their deposit will be forfeited.
  • Hostel and lock deposit will be refunded to the student, if the application with photocopies of receipts for the refund of deposit is made within one year from the date of the completion of the examination of the academic year.
  • The hostel deposit paid for a course will be valid for that course only and not transferred to another course.
  • Disciplinary action will be taken against the students if he /she found guilty of willful disobedience or defiance of authority or non-observance of hostel rules or mischievous and insolent or immoral behaviour. This action may be a fine, expulsion and / or forfeiture of the degree, depending upon the nature of the offense. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the hostel. Anybody violating this rule is liable for legal action and immediate dismissal from the hostel (incidents of ragging should be brought to the notice of the Wardens / Rectors)
  • The students should stay in the room allotted to him/her by the Rector/Warden. They should not interchange their rooms without permission of the Rector. The Rector may shift any students from one room to another without assigning any reason to the inmates.
  • The inmates should close all the windows and doors and lock their rooms and suitcases before leaving the room to avoid University Hostelpossible thefts of valuable, Laptop & mobile. The hostel authorities are not, responsible for the losses.
  • Students are not allowed to prepare tea, breakfast etc, in the room. The use of stove / hot plate gas/ Iron in the room is strictly prohibited.
  • If the student absconds from the hostel, he / she shall not be permitted to stay and shall in future be expelled from the hostel.
  • Complaints, if any about the hostel staff, servants, mess or any other complaint should be given in writing to the Warden. No one shall take the law in one’s own hands and take direct action. Mass agitation for any reason is prohibited.
  • Possession and / or consumption of alcoholic drinks, tobacco, ghutaka, narcotic drugs etc. and smoking is strictly prohibited in and around the hostel campus. If a student is found abusing the above, severe action will be taken.
  • Monitory collection by the students of any sort shall not be permitted.
  • Hawkers, salesman etc. are not allowed to enter the hostel premises. Students are advised not to entertain them and do any financial transactions with them.
  • A grievance committee is available for the students for hearing their grievances and take appropriate action.
  • It is mandatory to follow the hostel rules and also the rules which may be implemented by the authorities from time to time.
  • It is compulsory to attend the meeting held in the hostel for students and actively participate in all the activities organized for them.
  • The hostel authorities have full power to suspend / expel any student from the hostel if he / she is found guilty of any offense related to the hostel.
  • Students admitted to the Part-time, certificate, night course are not eligible for hostel admission.
  • Hostel mess is compulsory to every hostel student. The Hostel committee may cancel his / her admission in the hostel if he / she deny to join the mess.
  • Disciplinary action may be taken against the student who will violet rules and regulations of Hostel. His / Her admission to the hostel to the respective class shall be cancelled.
  • Inmates shall have to observe complete discipline inside the Hostel and on the University Campus. Misbehaviour of the student shall be liable to cancel his / her admission of Hostel.
  • The inmate is personally held responsible for the damages to the furniture and fittings, window, windowpanes-door walls. The cost of the damages shall be recovered from the inmates on priority basis from the deposit amount on report of the warden.
  • The inmates should not enter each other’s room without permission of the inmate. Care taking of the goods in the room is an individual, no other student will be responsible for the same.
  • The students shall have to vacate their room during vacation unless they are required to study for the University examinations. In such a case he / she vacate the rooms within a period of one week from the date of his / her examinations are over. Otherwise his / her goods in the room shall be sealed & office shall take possession of the room.
  • In the case of research(Ph.D.) students, he/she shall have renew his/her admission before June of every year. In any case his / her admission shall not be more than two years. He/She may get one year extension on the recommendation of Research Guide for Ph.D. The admission for M.Phil students will be restricted for one academic year.
  • Hostel charges, except deposits, once paid are not refundable. Hostel deposit will be refunded to the student if the application for refund of deposit is made within a week from the date of completion of examination.
  • Undertaking of the student regarding changes or amendment in the rules and regulations about hostel is essential.
  • I accept all the terms and conditions and if I violet these condition I will be liable for punishment.
  • I hereby undertake to pay within stipulated time, the charges that would be prescribed by the University time to time.
  • No student should stay away from his/her room during the night expect with prior written permission of the warden. Any student, who wishes to leave the campus temporarily or otherwise, should obtain the permission of warden in writing. Those applying for permission must state the date and time of his/her intended departure as maintained for every hostel.
  • Playing of loud music and disturbing the quite atmosphere by any other means is not permitted as it disturbs the fellow hostel mates. You may use earphones while listening to music. Playing any kind of outdoor games inside the hostel/ corridors is not permitted.
  • Partying in the rooms, in the corridors or anywhere in the hostel permitted whatever be the occasion will not be allowed.
  • Proxy or dummy room mates are forbidden. Strict action will be taken if accommodation is held as proxy. They are liable to be removed from the hostel.
  • All residents are advised to extend their fullest cooperation to see that no unauthorized persons enter or stay in the hostel premises. If they happen to find any such person, they should demand the permit/identity card and if it is not for the coming, the matter should be brought to the notice of the warden for further action.
  • “Suggestion box” is available in the food court mess students/members may enter/ drop their suggestion regarding quality, quantity and variety of food in these boxes which are perused by Chief Warden for remedial action.
  • Management does not take responsibility of the vehicles, parking two wheelers in the hostels corridor is strictly prohibited.
  • Residents must take care of their ATM/ debit cards. They must not disclose their PIN to anybody even to their friends.
  • The decision of the Warden any time of the hostel affairs shall be final . It will always remain unquestionable.
  • Hostel Admission is allotted only once for same level (UG, PG etc) course.
  • A certificate from the Hostel Superintendent/ Warden regarding good behaviour must be submitted for the candidates already living in University Hostels. If behavior found unsatisfactory, candidate would not be eligible in such case.
  • Apart from all the above rules & regulations its mandatory for he/she to follow the rules & regulations changed in time to time.
  • As per the directions from university authorities, on emergency basis if accommodation in hostel needed; students should cooperate to vacate the rooms.
