Vision
To the best of our knowledge, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University is the first university to start M. Sc. nanotechnology course in Maharashtra and in particular in the Marathwada Region in order to provide opportunity to the youths of this region and to cope up with the growing interest in Nanotechnology from all the sector.
We intend to have best infrastructure of international standard for the Department of Nanotechnology and plan its development according taking into consideration the need of technology development for the future. This would offer National and International recognition to the Department, teachers, students and ultimately to the university. This is achievable by appointing renowned and experienced new faculties and staff (technicians) within the nation and from abroad. With this we have and would be able to train young generation and also achieve research grants from various funding agencies through quality research projects of significance to the society.
These would be transformed into technology to be transferred to the industries around the region, Maharashtra and India providing job opportunities to the graduates. The efforts and hard work of the teachers and students will help the department to achieve recognition as Department with Potential Excellence extending the same to the University University with Potential for Excellence .
In addition to this large number of local, national and international students are and would be attracted to the Department and to cater to the demands we also intend to start new integrated, short term and specialized courses in future. This would contribute towards the development of the students of highest caliber capable of tackling any scientific and social challenges on the globe.
Our vision to achieve academic excellence by 2020 would be possible through the co-operation of the funding agencies, university authorities and staff, good human resource, collocating atmosphere of good co-ordination and affection. Further, we intend to go for evaluation of our progress through accreditation and re-accreditation of the Department and individual faculty by NAAC imparting rightful justice to individual contributions. By following good practices we further intend to go for achieving the quality assurance certified standards at different stages of development.
Mission
The mission of this department to teach and learn Nanotechnology in collaborative performance based path way, we look to encourage the students towards observation and analysis of the natural world and to provide the tools and skills to the students to be torch bearer of Nanotechnology by contributing effectively to the existing lows of the methods.
