Aurangabad, located at central part of India and famous for its world heritage sites Ajanta and Ellora Caves. This is the most important city of Marathwada region and well connected with rest of important city of Maharashtra through road and railway network. The city has earned reputation of fastest growing city and successfully marked its global presence due to automobile and chemical hub. The city has become hub place for to fulfill the need of surrounding in terms of uplifting the socio-economic standard of living through the quality of education provided by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. During last 56 years, the university has provided education through its state of art unique curriculum addressing regional and global needs. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (MS) India,is Re-Accredited with ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore in 2019 and also ranked 69th in NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) in 2020. The university had 56 post graduate department on university campus & sub-campus providing quality education to the students through various PG, Post PG and Doctoral programs.
This tremendous development in higher education by the university has made significant contribution in transforming the region into modern and prosperous region. There is need to bring some new and innovative idea in the region to spread the fruit of higher education to the society. There is also a need to interact with the industries of the region not only making education more relevant from industrial point of view but also from social point of view. The basic scientific and technological concepts involved in tour daily life as well as in our industries must be manifested in some from which the society can understand and appreciate them.
Under the affiliation of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University around 156+ science colleges are located in the internal and rural part of Marathwada region and there are 11 science department providing state of art infrastructure to appreciate their curricula, innovative teaching, learning and research in basic and advance science subjects. The department have received research funding through UGC, DST, SERB, CSIR, DBT and other funding agencies. The thought given to establish science popularization park with an objectives to popularize the concept of science and technology in undergraduate students of rural as well as the students who joining for their higher studies in the subjects of science. The focus is on to exemplify the difficult and complex ideas so-far-put-forward in Biological,Physical science s and in the advance technology through simple models / experiments / exhibits. The use of scientific notions or concepts in day-today life and their correlations as that describes the law / hypothesis should be understood by those who studies the disciplines of Science, technology and encourage the growth of scientific literacy in the region of Marathwada. It is the need of this time when the students should be genius in understanding the scientific concepts and should develop the eyesight to ask the questions why and how regarding the facts occurring around them.technology and encourage the growth of scientific literacy in the region of Marathwada. India is nodal center for Olympiad programs in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Astronomy; the negligible number of students from this Marathwada region mark their presence through the school, colleges and higher education institutes. Hence, increasing their awareness and bringing them in to basic research field is responsibility of the university as premier higher education institute (HEI).
The improving quality of science education and inculcating interest in the science subjects is long felt idea of our institution. Further few mobile vans acting as mobile laboratories shall be maintained by the university with the purpose
In this proposal, the idea in brief will be laid down, the collaboration and consultation of National Council of Science Museum (NCSM) Kolkata, Homi Bhabha Center for Sciences Education (HBCSE) Mumbai, and other science centers are established in the Maharashtra state shall be obtained in developing the Science Technology Park of twenty first century. The university would like to take an opportunity in establishing the science technology park at Aurangabad on the university campus.
The science and technology park focuses on the following objectives in the mind that are appreciating the needs of the region.

The university has 56 post graduate departments on university campus & sub-campus providing quality education to the students through various PG, Post PG and Doctoral programs.I am extremely pleased to share with you yet another step our university has taken for the advancement of scientific and technological endeavors. Our Science and Technology Park at the university campus will be opening shortly to vigorously foster scientific research in academic institutions. The park spreads over 40000 sq.m area and will be unique of its own in the region. This endeavor will help in promotion and popularization of science and will inculcate scientific temper and attitude amongst all stake holders present in the area. The park will primarily consist of following pavilions.
In a Science Park, people come closer to learn about the basic principles of science in an open air learning environment. Highly skilled and technologically competent personnel will be deputed at the park for extension and dissemination of scientific knowledge to grass root levels in the society. Besides knowledge sharing, our Science Park will arrange seminars and discussions on the topics of interest of all concerned clientele. Such innovative approach is absolutely essential for imparting quality education during these days. We by establishing this project wish to identify areas in which science and technology can be utilized for achieving the socio-economic betterment. This will attract the youth of this region to pursue excellent careers in science and technology, exploring new areas for research activities which will strengthen, support their creativity and skills.
We wish to popularize science among the masses through various initiatives such as mobile science exhibitions, workshops, popular science lectures, and science demonstrations. School children will enjoy the essences of science through fun and learn. All our related activities enhance public engagement in the field of science & technology.
It is proposed that ten acres area measuring 40,000 sq.m. will be developed for the science and technology park. The university has earmarked the said area on the campus at beautiful locations. The area of science and technology park span across six buildings for scientific purpose (Gallery) including administrative building and canteen. The administrative block will include the director’s cabin, office with all necessary infrastructure annexure, retiring room, medical aid room, two lectures hall, store room, control room, guest house (to accommodate the resource person invited from national and international academics), library and information lounge with visitors’ gallery etc. other related amenities such as landscaping, amphitheater of proposed area with garden and protection wall will be developed.
The science and technology park will spread over in area of about 10 acres (about 40000 sq.m.) it will have various sections such as:
The aim of this amusement gallery is to showcase the fun making scientific articles like but not only limited to uneven mirrors, outdoor interactive experiments, laser shows, magnetic football, floating magnetic coins, excepts related to superstitions etc. through which young children and students will get feeling and understanding of the basic scientific experiments, principles and their scientific significance in our day to day life. The main is to develop the attitude of the students to look the aspects more minutely and critically to understand the scientific facts.
The gallery will contain the experiment based on basic concepts of physical sciences like but not only limited to internal reflection of light to make them realized the false sense of water in the dissert as well as the key to modern day transmission of signals in fiber cable. The self-explanatory, simple and genuine experiments such as up and down movements of naphthalene balls in water, no burning of handkerchief, artificial volcano, identifying boiled egg from set of eggs etc. will be set up to explain the laws of physical and chemical sciences. The articles and experiments will be designed as per ideas of physics, nanotechnology, chemistry, mathematics, and statistics department of university.
The gallery will be devoted for demonstrating experiments and models which will show diversity of our nature through zoology, botany, microbiology and biotechnology areas. It will include models and experiments such as egg in small mouth glass bottle, preparation of paper model of DNA, experiments of physiology etc. to understand basic process and advancements of the life sciences. The details of bio instruments with principles of their working and importance will be demonstrated through the models. The gallery will also contains the concepts regarding renewable energy resources. Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Environmental Science departments of the university will contribute towards development.
Developed with the intent of models, principal of machines with operative mechanism, communication techniques and principles, wireless technology, satellite technology, high frequency communications, computer-based simulations of the universe through augmented and virtual reality (AR-VR), and other scientific advances. The academicians and local industry motivated to display mini interactive and innovative models of their industrial units so that it will be motivating to the budding students taking their career in the area of technology, automobiles, electronics, polymers, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industries are likely to participate in this venture. Computer Sciences, Management and commerce departments of the university will coordinate activities with industries. A planetarium will also be designed in the hall in second phase.
The gallery will include the charts and models regarding diseases. It will include the flow sheets to educate the stakeholders including students, physicians, medical professional etc. There shall be animated flow sheets that will aware stakeholders about how to help the victims, patients in the emergency / critical cases caused due to different aspects. The animated flow sheet to educate the stakeholders regarding medico legal aspects and their importance. These will also developed and made available in the form of videos to display on the LCD television / AR-VR mode.
Gallery will be devoted to showcase Indian heritage and culture, Indian Science and Technology. Organizations like ISRO, BARC, DRDO, CSIR etc will be presented in the gallery. The models of satellite launch vehicle and satellites will be obtained from ISRO and will be displayed. The stakeholders of gallery will get the pride being Indian through the noteworthy contributions made by India showcased in the gallery. Mini model of Naher-e-Amber regarding water supply system developed in Aurangabad 350 years ago will be showcased as technological heritage of the region. Local culture, world heritage sites Ellora and Ajanta caves, Paithani Saree etc will find prominent place in the Gallery. Tourism Administration, Water and land management, humanities departments of the university will provide leadership for the ideas in this gallery.
Beside the above galleries, administrative building and canteen / cafeteria will be available for the park. The open space will be designed in the form of innovative gardens with medicinal plants from the local region while renewable energy resources of energy, outdoor scientific articles, designs and games, rain water harvesting can also be seen alive. The science and technology park will be an ecofriendly and energy efficient. Rain water harvesting and waste water treatment plants will be installed to water the landscapes. The power required to be generated from solar, wind or any other non-conventional methods which itself will be model to be adopted in the society. Two Mobile Laboratories on wheel regarding he need based subjects / topics on demand and experimental set-up for remote and rural places.
