The prime objective of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) is to prepare and implement comprehensive policy to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the dynamics of challenges that the fast changing global scenario extends inquality education, innovation and research (National Higher Education Policy).
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University was established in the year 2003 to achieve above mentioned prime objective. This Cell has created an association with a pool of renowned experts from academia and industries to prepare an all-inclusive policy to ensure quality in teaching-learning, research, extension and high degree of transparency in governance and administration.
The IQAC is ensuring that its efforts reachevery nook and cranny so that TheDr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad can be raised to anEpitome ofExcellence by creating and imparting time responsive Quality Education to address demands of changing regional Socio-Economic aligned in a global perspective, keeping Research and Development at its core, for ‘Anyone’ at ‘Anytime’ and ‘Anywhere’. Accordingly, this cell has prepared a time responsive policy to -
i) provide platform for rural, women, socially disadvantaged and differently-abled groups to achieve Academic Excellence with in-built Employability,
ii) carve out a fusion between Academics and Industry with an ultimate aim to identify the gaps and accordingly, design the courses to impart skill based education as per the requirements of the region so as to improve employability and develop entrepreneurial capabilities
iii) provide student centric learning environment and to establish platform for inclusive research leading to the development of creative thought process amongst research scholars keeping in mind societal needs
iv) nurture innovative ideas shaping into products facilitating the spinoff and creating awareness to protect Intellectual Property (IP)
v) adopt a perennial process for bringing in excellence in teaching pedagogy by providing ICT based state-of-the-art infrastructural facilitation
vi) impart value added, culturally rich education by adopting the local to global approach vi) to provide an academic corridor for cordial connectivity between the University and its affiliates
vii) ensure good Governance inculcating ‘Accountability’ based on ‘Self-evaluation’ amongst all the stakeholders of the University.
At this juncture, I take this opportunity to invite you all – the stakeholders (students, teachers, alumni, parents and employer) of the University; to join this collaborative mission of ensuring quality in teaching, learning and research and contribute towards the Nation Building.
